TRUE LIVING

TRUE LIVING
We live but how? In the illusion of hope, of future, of tomorrow. We cannot exist without self-deceptions. The mind needs illusions. The mind needs dreams. Continuously, the mind is creating dreams, images, fantasies.
Living is always in the future. Politicians know it but you don't! If you did, they would not be in power, they would not even be around! Wasting the present for that which is not: this is what dreaming is. Past and future are projections. Mind projections. They have nothing to do with reality. But it seems so difficult to live the moment.
We go on saying that we want the truth, but no one wants it. No one is ready to see the naked reality. The mind cannot stand it. The mind is ever dreaming. Are you ready not to move into the future? Are you ready to let go of the past? Are you ready, now, not to hope, not to jump ahead? Are you ready, now, to encounter the reality as it is?
Unless you are totally frustrated with the way you have existed up to now, there can be no change. If you are hoping that you may gain something, that you may become something, then there can be no change. When there is any expectation.
A moment comes when we feel hopeless. Absolute meaninglessness. We become aware that whatsoever we are doing is useless, wheresoever we are going, we are going to nowhere. Life is meaningless - suddenly hopes drop, future drops, and for the first time we are in tune with the present, face to face with reality.
Unless this moment comes to you, you don't know what true living is.
