SEASON CHANGE
Cold, dry and light are qualities dominant in autumn and early winter. So if such conditions irritate or make you feel not so comfortable, try to keep warm, avoid cold dry winds and favour warm, cooked, liquid, rich, heavier foods and beverages (soups, stews, casseroles, puddings, hot cooked cereals, teas).
Add butter or fresh cream and oils to your starches and vegetables.
Avoid dry foods. Choose foods that are sweet, sour or salty in taste (except salted nuts/seeds/snacks).
Avoid the cabbage family, dry and stale foods, greens and lettuce, most nightshade fruits/vegetables (such as tomatoes, potatoes, eggplants), most dry legumes (οσπρια).
Avoid noise, strong artificial light, disturbance, crowds.
Take breakfast (hot cereals such as porridge cooked with home made almond milk or rice pudding or stewed apples or pears with soaked raisins, almonds and raw honey).
Use unrefined coarse sea or rock salt during cooking.
Avoid packaged, frozen, canned, processed foods.
