Healthy relationships do not simply exist within our home’s doors! We belong to a society, which belongs to a country or nation, which belongs to the world. There is a global dimension to relationships. How can we be fully happy an
d content when people around us are suffering, or not being treated fairly or ethically or humanely? All life is interdependent. We need to be able to see the great interest in helping the less fortunate help themselves, through fair trade, work, fair living wages and careers.
Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. All things are connected, so whatever man does to the whole, he does to himself.
If part of the web is suffering, it will affect other parts as well. So be fair to all and have a good relationship with all.
